KATIE EARY SPRING SUMMER 2011 SUMMER SET HOUSE LIVE INSTALLATION

Designer Katie Eary staged boxing matches in her installation (and these were installations, not mere market stalls) with an impeccably cast selection of teenage boxers from gyms in East London (pictured). “I was feeling quite angry,” said Eary. “And that came out in the collection. Well, fashion does get like that sometimes, doesn’t it?” These are clothes taking on the spirit of punk, with tartan and leopard-print boxing gear (she even made mitts to match).
Pringle Of Scotland, now i no it wasn't shown in london but, i forgot to get it in my blog so here it is now for you ............
Pringle Of Scotland havs never really been a brand that i get hyped about but, this spring summers collection interests me. Theres bees some really funky experiments with fabrics and the outcome has worked out. I feel like Pringle has moved forward and is standing out as a modern brand with this collection.

The use of waxed silk on some of the coats makes them feel like crape paper, i cant wait to have a feel of one. Some of the knit wear consist of shirting fabric that has been knitted in with yarn VERY nice little but cheeky technique.

CAROLYN MASSEY SPRING SUMMER SS/11

This season the designer took full advantage of the presentation format and presented a V shaped wall of models clad in the finest Spring garb. A catwalk show comes and goes but with a presentation there is a physical element and visitors can walk around and explore it at their own leisure. Armed with my camera I did just that. As her SS11 film played on the surrounding walls and guests admired the collection and sipped on Gin and Tonics I excitedly shot the relaxed elegance of the collection and captured as much detailing as possible...we all know by now that Massey celebrates the beauty of details in menswear..

SIBLING: Collection 5 by ALASDAIR McLELLAN

SIBLING MENS KNITWEAR SS/11

Sibling is all about humour in a very English way that may come across as being a bit silly at times.

With each season the design trio combine the wonderful craft of knitwear with an added sense of humour. sSibling are probably the most experimental and daring mens knitwear label that ive ever come across. the though process behind each garment is always that of the most exciting. I thoughrely enjoyed this seasons collection but, it didn't rock my boat as much as last seasons. Dont get me wrong this collection was incredible. But my tastes are more suited to last season.

OHH and not to mention the new Sibling video, well that was great really cool and still very young. love all of it you amazing bunch of KNITTING MACHINES.

CHRISTOPHER SHANNON SPRING SUMMER SS/11

ABSOLUTELY B E A U T I F U L

I could'nt fault it in anyway, unusually the collection was right up my street where as previous collections have done it for me.

A super cool take on sportswear – a camouflage print came literally emblazoned with ‘CAMO’ on it, techno mesh trim and nylons was contrasted with crisp cotton shirts and he experimented with creating a tufting effect on jeans. As always his accessories were impeccable – from the enormous backpacks to the ‘Frankenstein’ pieces cobbled from leftover bits from his studio. If this is what staycations are like – roll on next summer.

Street style out side of Summer Set House and a round and about...

Now i am fully aware that there are some complete waists of fashion space people in these photos but, on the day did stand out to me for both good and bad reasons but, you will hear all about that when you scroll down. One thing about fashion week is who are these people that come out there houses and look like they have literally jumped in there wardrobe and back out. And think its fine to walk round wearing a mix up... I DOINT NO. But then on the other hand there are some people with amazing pieces in the outfits with great details.
